Tesla shares new video of Optimus training in a factory (twitter.com/tesla_optimus)

Odds are it won't hold up or be manufactured as good as it needs to be, just like the rest of Tesla's products. And then how fast will it actually wear and tear? You can't trust Tesla, they'll never have the FSD they promised years ago and they can't make a stainless steel that doesn't rust.

Customer satisfaction and retention for Tesla cars is very high, so it seems like they are producing a good car actually.

FSD is working quite good if you check what people are posting online.

And Hertz dropped their whole Tesla fleet like a brick because the cars couldn't deliver on expectations. If you want to run a factory of bots, thinking you'll get 24/7/365, you're dreaming.

According to Hertz investor relations documentation

"Adjusted Corporate EBITDA was negative $567 million in the quarter driven mainly by a $588 million increase in vehicle depreciation compared to the first quarter of 2023, of which $195 million related to EVs held for sale. The Company commenced a broad fleet refresh during the quarter and has revenue and cost initiatives in place to enhance the Company's future profitability."

So only 33% or $195 of the $588 million dollar increase in vehicle depreciation was from their EV. Sounds like the main cause of their woes is the interest rate hikes the Fed implemented which initiated a period there from 2022 through part of 2023 where it was the worst time to buy a vehicle of all time as everything interest-rate linked deprecated greatly after going from ~3% to 5% interest rate so quickly.

It has nothing to do with Tesla vehicles not meeting expectations. The only expectation they didn't meet was an expected appreciation in value as occurred between 2021 and 2022, but that was the same for ALL vehicles. Personally I can say from my experience with my mid Dec 2023 Model Y it has far exceeded my expectations, and prices have actually gone up since I purchased it.
