I have my APC Back-UPS CS650 (BK650EI) plugged into my router (running OpenWrt) which works fine with Network-UPS Tools. The router shares the UPS status with the whole LAN, and the machines on the LAN that are powered by the UPS will shut down automatically when the UPS battery goes critical.
