Hm, really? It uses contenteditable. Paragraphs in the live editor are like this:

  <div class="ce-paragraph cdx-block" contenteditable="true" data-placeholder="Type text or paste a link">...</div>
Edit: it's a bit rude to edit the parts of your comments I've replied to.


I had no reply button only later. Sometimes HN is Strange so I edited it.


There's no reply button for the first 2 minutes or something in a busy thread, but you can get one by clicking the comment's time stamp.


Where is the comments timestamp?


The link in a comment's header that says "0 minutes ago", "8 hours ago", or whatever. That's how you get a direct link to a comment.


It generates JSON not HTML
