Special Relativity: Lorentz Transformations (2018) [video] (youtube.com)

Another similarly incredible explanation is in the video by ScienceClic [1], which goes more into the geometric interpretation whereby Lorentz boosts are hyperbolic rotations of spacetime.

There is also Dialect's treatment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eKkH4IH-zmw

Their thing, if you look back on other recent videos, is that literally every physics channel on YT gets relativity embarrassingly wrong, each directly contradicting Einstein in one particular or other. It turns out people have interpretations incompatible with the maths, and say very foolish things they clearly have not thought through.

interesting: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Relativistic_dynamics

time as a dimension is hard to reconcile with entropy and quantum mechanics. And it allows for unintuitive ideas like the expansion of space-time over time (wat?)

ScienceClic is an incredible and underrated channel, glad to see it shared here!

Came here to share this. Glad it’s already shared.

Great explanation. Now it makes sense! I briefly remember napping during my physics lectures looking over the transformation equations, which did not make sense to me. ( I know it's partly my fault but...)

Great content. Thanks for posting.

And I want my spacetime globe!
