Yeah, I'm afraid with all the competition around, any barrier will lose you traction (IE signups). Better to bite the bullet and include as many options as feasible, but especially email sign up. Just my 2c.

done! Took a while but I added email sign up now :)

Awesome. One comment. Your 'wide' setting is actually 'tall'. :) Going to start playing...

Really excellent. Love the editing controls although it desperately needs an undo button, and the Print To option is excellent too. Probably the best app implementation I've seen and I would probably use it in the future (even though I've got a local instance running on my machine for fun.

I think your biggest challenge is going to be getting people to return after the first play. There are so many of these coming on to the market, it's hard to remember them.

NightCafe obviously has first mover advantage, and maybe you should think about implementing their style of gamification? They notify me every day with additional points, and even though I don't use them all the time, I will return there when I need a quick illustration for something.

Super congratulations on creating something which is really good.

[Edit: and it also needs advance and retreat arrows on the large view gallery option. At the moment you have to x out to go back and view the next image]

thank you very much for the comments jaggs, it's really encouraging and help me keep going! Indeed, there is a lot to be done, gamification is a great idea, at this point I haven't even setup email sending yet, I'm trying to balance out chasing after NightCafe and others vs differentiation and innovation

thanks again!

It's a pleasure, good luck with the project.

Nice, the inbuilt levels editor after they're generated is a nice touch.

"Sign in with Google"... (Otherwise, cool!)

thanks! yeah, I didn't want to deal with all account management shaneningans yet (I'm planning to add sign in with apple next if that helps anyhow)

Is signing-in necessary?

yeah... the first version I built actually had no sign in, but users would just try it once and go away, no way to save their images or publish it, but also, being totally open make it harder to throttle or block bots

I really wanted to be able to have a totally open and maybe get viral like dalle mini, but I don't have enough money to pay for lots of GPUs

Interesting. The thing that catches my attention most in the callout is 'print to canvas'. Rather than providing compute resources for the user to generate images, you could instead allow them to upload a pre-generated image and handle printing it to a canvas for them.

added email sign up now :D
