According to the creator of FairEmail, it doesn’t even matter that you can side load because that’s not where the customers are. Notice, the author didn’t say “I will make my apps available for sideloading” I have removed all my apps from the Play store and I will stop supporting and maintaining my apps. Google won. If sideloading were such a great alternative for Android, why aren’t most app makers doing it and avoiding Google’s restrictions and 30% cut?

I'm sideloading apps. So I care about it. Apple won't get a single cent from me unless they allow sideloading.
