aptitude install xclip

I map 'xc' to 'xclip' and 'xp' to 'xclip -o' (paste) with shell scripts.

Copy to/from clipboard via pipes.

Though X11 copy/paste works pretty well also. There are the odd occasions where a mouse is the right tool for the job.
