Charlie Reese was our county commissioner (lifetimes ago) and afterward he wrote a local column for years (eventually syndicated by King).

That man went after everyone with equal ferocity; no favorites. He often tore apart pols I supported & when he did, I paid attention.

I've never instinctively trusted another journalist, like I did him.
