Occassionally at times yeah, but mostly via google bookmarks. Way more simpler than using a third party service like pinboard, since it's readily easily visible right on your toolbar chain

The best programmer I worked with was the tech lead for my second job, at a startup consultancy firm.

He was brilliant. Could understand a very deep and complex business system and remember all the hundreds of table and convuluted logic built into the system, but it was a bit overwhelming listening to him talk since he would overload so much information in such a short time frame

Maybe the better word is clever or brilliant. I have also worked with other programmers who build such systems, I think the best programmer just builds simple things

I feel like the more we rely on AI, the stupider we as a whole in society becomes. There no longer is this sense of accomplishment of actually doing the work yourself, so you rely on an AI that just spits out the answer. No more digging around the web for a solution, google AI has got you. The old days of learning how to go to the library to get an encyclopedia to do a homework research article is over, there is something about the effort that goes into solving a solution more so than the solution itself, ergo the journey not the destination

Suggestion - pick up a new hobby that is engaging outside of work

It depends on the type of person, for example, I use AI but there is no degradation, on the contrary, I have achieved better, for me AI is a tool, I have never given it all the work, the ideas for optimization have done it all do it and AI just helps.

I thought this said looksMaxing at first and had to do a double take

I think the author makes a good point. The more you label things, the more things become a race to the bottom so to speak with the lowest common denominator

If you go about life labelling yourself as ADHD or OCD, you are disavowing other richer parts of you and just saying you are this person with this symptom, and that denotion starts reinforcing that belief system when people associate you with that label

I think its best we didnt label things and just appreciate the beauty of things as they are - the good the bad the ugly

Is this just like a fork off AA? Same 12 steps

Good on you for figuring that out. Not everyone is able to deduce that, it's good for your own accountability

Have you tried mentoring someone else perhaps? Pass it on

Try travelling for a bit? See the world and see how you feel, maybe take a sabbatical
