How is this different from being in city where "police officer" has the power to shot you?

We're not required to be in a cop's room for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week.

We ARE required to be in an authoritarian's room for 8 hour a day, 5 days a week for 12 years.

A whole lot more would be arrested, assaulted, and executed if we were in cops' sight like this.

Next: Netflix deploys facial recognition, to prevent account sharing fraud.

So, when you use Claude Code from now on, you will be poisoning people in the rural parts of Memphis with xAIs unpermitted gas generators.

but it is easier to enforce law on the powerless

I'd like to play Minion Space Program.

Aren't the kerbals basically minions with dignity?

Not mine. My kerbin's ocean is full of them now.

Not sure if that's more or less bad than the dozens of kerbals polluting my LKO for, uh... reasons.

Since I play with no mods I guess they're all still technically alive since they don't require food or water and have an apparently infinite supply of oxygen.

I would play this if it allowed one to steal the moon.

Isn’t that NASA?

Apologised for taking lives of married couple and two babies?

Is that a question? I'm not sure if you're expecting an answer about maybe she should have tried praying for the person to be brought back or what would legit help the situation at that point?

Is it too much to ask for today's pedestrian to wear at least one piece of reflective clothing?

Odd point to raise in a thread about a family killed while waiting at a bus stop in broad daylight. Do you think reflective clothing would have changed the outcome of the event significantly?

Ticketing AVs for individual violations like human drivers is the only fair way.

How would your proposal work for personal driverless cars, with/without custom modifications? ie. if my personal car commits violation on its way to pick me up

I'm talking about AV fleets.

If you purchase an AV car then similarly it's up to the state to regulate the manufacturer. How could you possibly be personally responsible for the fact that it ran a red light?

And nobody should ever be allowed to personally modify an AV's software. Such a vehicle should never be allowed on the road.

I run to my fallout shelter every time Google fails to load.

Cloud connected (robot AI in cloud) home robots would be very unsafe, due to network slowdown/outages. Imagine it freezing/stopping right after it turns on water faucet or stovetop.
