How much press did you manage to get for SkyChalk?

Yeah, huffing and puffing about this would get them some short-term buzz. This move, in my mind, earns them long-term respect.

Move on, and focus on the product—not the logo.

Love it.

Agreed, classy response here. I enjoy it more when people that avoid the drama

Wouldn't 'avoiding the drama' be not making a post about this at all?

What company that maintains a company blog wouldn't make a post when they do something as significant as change their logo? It's their own blog, not a press release.

Does anyone know (or have any educated guesses) if Google Drive will have an installed state like DropBox, or will it be entirely web-based?

It's funny, but I didn't think I'd like the fact that I had to install DropBox. Now, I can't imagine any other way it could work. Then again, I'm not paid to solve these problems.

I'm rooting for Blekko and DDG and pretty much anything that will uproot or disturb Google's stronghold.

For one, I miss the days when Google search felt fresh, magical, and honest. Search Plus Your World just irks me, because, as many have pointed out, it isn't providing relevant results and its shoving G+ down my throat.

As an aside, I'm interested to see which major search engine will partner with Tumblr. I'm not smart enough to figure out the details of the relationship, but I think have access to their stream of data could be pretty cool.

When you eliminate the reblogged duplicate content, that stream would just be a trickle. ;)

"Too many talented people are on the sidelines waiting for the perfect idea. Jump in! You can make a very goood living with a good idea, and that positions you well to find a better idea."

Well said. Good ideas can very easily morph into great ones if you're focusing on the right metrics and getting user-feedback. But inaction is always inaction, and inaction can't grow.

I wish someone would have documented Imus's creation of this map. It would be interesting to see what circumstances perplex and excite a map maker.

Junk Charts is addicting. I laugh. I cry.

Seriously awesome. You are a hero to us all!

I was thinking the exact same thing!

I was thinking the opposite. Outside of Silicon Valley people say things like, you know Zynga... the company that made farmville. People think it is a 1 employee company. (I know they have a $B+ valuation, but no one outside the valley does, especially not law makers)

Definitely wasn't a scheme or evil plan, just my roommate who happens to be my loving girlfriend. Even so, I understand your frustration, and I'm sorry about that, Paul. Lesson learned.
