Then just try it out and if does not look good don’t buy it.
I believe that’s how most of us try clothes out. It’s not only a matter of body shape, but also skin color, hair color, facial hair, face shape, hair cut…
You always need to try out the clothes before buying…
People buy heavy SUV when compact car would do, "dress for the job you want", "temporarily embarrassed millionaires", nationalistic fervor for your country getting more territory when even with the current one you don't know what to do, and so forth... Humans are an aspirational animal, and it is pretty easy to sell into that aspiration be it a ticket to Moon or a nice looking on the model jacket :)
To the commenter below:
Exactly. The societies where aspirations have been dampened or completely suppressed have been collectivistic and/or totalitaristic - USSR, North Korea, etc. - ie. where individual will is totally suppressed.
Absolutely love my boox palma! Since getting it I’ve read dozens of books, just because it’s so easy to carry. The complaints I’ve read before on Reddit don’t seem to apply to my device which is good.
ClubHub is free forever - and lets users create clubs and events, and allows them to be exported to a set of calendars (iCal).
As club members ourselves we wanted to build something to help alleviate the inevitable 'social-mediaification' of absolutely everything. Even platforms like Strava are becoming more and more proprietary and trying to make it difficult to share GPX files, not allowing 3rd party apps to interact as easily...
The feature set is small so far, but we want to ensure people can organise real-world stuff without having a social media platform attached to everything they do.
It's super early days - we built this over 3-4 weeks and now are letting people loose on it. The system 'should' be robust - but let's find out.
Lol seems like a reductio ad absurdum long game on trying to make people be nice to each other. I might use the 'wrong' word or an offensive one but I sure as hell don't mean it to be and that is easy to spot.
Interestingly the people who push these crazy (lol) agendas are normally nowhere near the intended 'offendees' of the terminology.
Mixing socialising and exercising! Clears the head and helps prevent visits to the pub . I recently lost my fitness and am now battling to get it back (lost over 5 yrs, regaining over 1),keeping that around would have been a good plan, thankfully got enough years to make it back. When exercising I sleep better, work better, family life better etc. I think the habit is finding a comprehensive app/guide to tell me what to do and when - this offloads the cognitive requirements and let's me just follow blindly whilst life is otherwise too busy.
