Love the Fastmail UI. If you are not using any email client software, please use Fastmail on the browser to enjoy all the latest update in the UI.

The most recent feature is Fastmail calendar allows user to change the color of events. You will love the web interface more.


How to see this feature. I don't see Twitter Notes/Write in my sidebar.


It's currently in Alpha. All users can't write now. And one cannot even view the notes outside of certain regions.


Fun improvement from my project a long time ago, uuid has 36 char and to save space, we created a shorten version by removing all the dash character in uuid. The result is 4 char could be removed, the field in MySQL table only needs 32 char.


The point is, a uuid contains 128 bits of data, so a varchar(32) is still somewhat excessive


Why varchar over char? The length is always the same.


Yeah, true. My bad. I'm used to calling everything TEXT.
