You should try Falcon too.

This reminds me of Subreply (subreply.com), a tiny text-only social network that keeps things extremely simple and fast—worth checking if you like minimalism in apps.

I use AdGuard DNS. AdBlockers are too CPU and memory intensive anyway.

With DNS over https Firefox has the answer against you already built in. And back then they were very keen on implementing it as soon as possible. They even sold it as helping against censorship. It's maybe just a question of time how long good old Firefox will allow you to censor ads...

I wonder how it compares to Monolisa. https://www.monolisa.dev/

Setup AdGuard DNS on your end. Works perfect on any OS.

Do DNS based solutions provide a "normal" browsing experience or you get fancy error blocks wherever the ads were supposed to go?

uBlock Origin can modify the page.

Security onion please

Signal.

Great App, but one that no one wants to download. I have never gotten a Single message on Signal. Idk why, it seems so functional and is multiplatform.

> but one that no one wants to download

100M+ downloads on just Android says otherwise

No one in my friends or relatives circle uses it.

not now, but may be they want to in some time in a distant future

I allow all robots and even provide a sitemap on Subreply, a social network I created.

Stable?

I'm using AdGuard DNS on both macOS and Android.

More buttons? Since I lost my power button on Pixel 5, I'm using it only with gestures: touch the fingerprint sensor to unlock, swipe down on home screen to lock it. I think a slider on the notification area can be used for volume up and down for a true buttonless experience something Steve Jobs would have loved.

Ironic, isn’t it? when the iPhone first came the most different thing about it was that it had a very few buttons. they were telling stories about how Steve Jobs wanted to remove all the buttons. Now we have more and more buttons.

the iphone apple makes today and the iphone steve jobs made are very different. No one can say what jobs would do nowadays ofc, but i believe he adhered to strict guideline like make it hold in one hand and simplify everything -> less buttons, less settings.

I bet he is rolling in his grave when he sees this new icon color theming thing or what they did with the control center where there is now 5 different page of settings.

The original iPhone had four buttons: home, power, up and down volume.

The iPhone 16 Pro has four buttons: power, up, down, camera.

Plus a switch for mute. Both models.

mute switch got replaced with action button back at iphone 15
