would satellite imagery be sufficient?

The area around the White House is intentionally pixelated. Israel does not allow detailed maps in certain places - GPS navigation devices don't work there.

Not for the Russian "Google Earth" counterpart, it ain't. ;)

I would guess that it will still work but at a (noticeably?) lower quality

Agreed to some extent (I think exploration is not boring, or at least it shouldn't be). To be fair, it seems like the dev team has already put out a big update, and plans to continue to add things. I just don't know what the scope/scale of those future updates will be though, aside that they'll all be free.

I was hoping that we'd be able to build buildings and colonize planets. It'd make particular planets feel more special and give you more incentive to stick around. And if they ever got around to doing this, it'd be great if we could build things wall by wall in great detail instead of just "ok, plop down prefabricated factory here".

That's not in Thor on (desktop) Reason is it? I don't remember seeing it, but it's a really cool feature imo. I always have trouble fine tuning knobs, and I haven't figured out how to map them to my midi controller (the preset that it said would work didn't work. I can, at most, get one slider to map to a random knob). The pop up slider seems much easier to use with a mouse, even if the motions are relatively the same.

It seems like body cams keep mysteriously getting disconnected before something goes down though

heck, I barely follow eSports at all and I assumed Cloud9 the team when I read the title

People have been digging through the game's data/files or whatever and have found strings referencing McDonalds. I think it's safe to say that they have planned promotions.

I'd believe that. I grew up on The Beatles and The Beach Boys, and now I listen to just about anything that seems "musical" enough to me. All genres, there's a commonality there, as you said. I'm glad my parents exposed me to (what I believe is) top quality songwriting and melodies since I was little.

This topic makes me wonder what sorts of music, if any, people who are less musically inclined were exposed to at a young age. I've met people that say they don't like music, or people who couldn't hum a tune from memory, and it seems so foreign to me. I don't consider myself to be particularly gifted - it seems like basic stuff. Yet there are plenty of people out there who know music about as well as I know sports (not at all). Hopefully that didn't come off as elitist or anything

It's still important to note that newer gamers are becoming more and more unwelcoming of non-free or at least "high" priced games. I remember loads of people throwing a hissy fit about Overwatch being $40, despite it being a very well polished AAA title.

I don't know how much longer the game industry can expect its target audience to spend $60 each on piles of games. Things have been trending towards freemium for long enough that it almost seems weird when the game that everyone's playing is not free(ish).

My point being, if enough people aren't buying console+game anymore, would the opportunity cost of doing it on mobile instead be that bad?

on iPhone 6s, checked and saw it had full access. I revoked access and opened the app up. It was stuck loading so I logged out and back in. Went back to check app permissions on google and it had full access again.

Wait, you revoked access from within google, and then the pokemon app was able to give itself access again without asking for permission?

Yes. I'm not sure if I need to re-log in the app or not though. Maybe if it didn't freeze and I didn't have to re-log then it might have left the access revoked. But it seems that once I re-log the full access goes back into effect.

re-logging in is re-authorization

if true, something is seriously messed up

also, save up a bunch of Pokemon ready to evolve (such as the ever plentiful Pidgey) and do them all at once with a Lucky Egg. 500 xp per evolution turns to 1000, making leveling pretty fast. The last few days I've been saving all of my stuff until the end of the day to evolve and easily pick up 12k+ xp

it's tempting to evolve everything as soon as you can, but waiting to do batch evolutions with double xp is much more effective

Good idea. I haven't evolved many of my Pokemon's yet. Just saving the dust and candy for when I want to evolve higher level captures I'll get later. Of course, at some point you need to figure out when it makes sense to just start evolving!

But, I'll certainly use this idea when that time comes!
