Most of these people are not esoteric though and come from privileged families :)

Surprised you are getting downvoted - that's exactly how you get quick legal response, by taking actions that destabilise society. It doesn't matter who is right necessarily.

Yard Sale Pizza in London does it's own delivery and it's great where it's available. I hated that I had to use their website but delivery is always good and still warm.

It's a god damn vape, 3Kb of ram is already a massive overkill for the purpose.

so why is left water further away from ground? this example make 0 sense

The Earth is being pulled away from that water, just as the water on the right is being pulled away from the Earth.

But the water on the left is being pulled by everything to the right of it, moon, earth, other water. Why is it left behind? Every single thing is being attracted by the same centre of gravity on the right of the earth

It's further away so it's pulled less, so it shifts less.

can't you just save the seed?

My understanding is that because GPUs do operations in a highly parallelized fashion, and because float point operations aren't commutative, then once you're using GPUs the seed isn't enough, no. You'd need the seed plus the specific order in which each of intermediate steps of the calculation was finished by the various streaming multiprocessors.

You are also talking about a track with infinite mass because otherwise the reason train can change direction is because it's pushing the track northwards

Obviously! It goes without saying that the track must be infinitely massive and infinitely stiff, mounted on an entirely inflexible infinite plane.

See, now you're talking real physics!

If you assume the availability of hosts is local to the perimeter of the infected hosts, then the relative growth is limited to 2/R where R is the distance from patient 0 in 2 dimensions. It's becuase an area of the circle defines how many hosts are already ill but the interaction can only happen on the perimeter of the circle.

The disease is obviously also limited by the total amount of hosts, but I assume there's also the "bottom" limit - i.e. the resource consumption of already-infected hosts.

It also depends on how panicked people are. Covid was never going to spread like ebola, for instance: it was worse. Bad enough to harm and kill people, but not bad enough to scare them into self-enforced isolation and voluntary compliance with public health measures.

Back on the subject of AI, I think the flat part of the curve has always been in sight. Transformers can achieve human performance in some, even many respects, but they're like children who have to spend a million years in grade school to learn their multiplication tables. We will have to figure out why that is the case and how to improve upon it drastically before this stuff really starts to pay off. I'm sure we will but we'll be on a completely different S-shaped curve at that point.

how would the existence of this card make it easier to pursue you if you're let's say, Jewish? Doesn't passport/driving license already have thisv

Maybe it doesn't make it any easier but your question does remind us that cataloguing and categorising people can be dangerous. I accept that there are good reasons that the state could use this information, but we should also be alert to possible abuses.

Without looking, I honestly don't know if the passport and driving licence lists this information. But the census certainly does.

I mean the issue is that British people are so uptight about the government id card when a) oyster/credit card allows somebody to track all of their movement b) there's plenty of information collection that combined can be used against you c) driving license is de facto gov id at the moment. The ship had sailed, you are fighting against the wrong thing and that's why this battle will be lost.

If they use encrypted chat, that means they also somehow communicate between teams residing in different buildings, and I doubt they use wires for that. Does that mean it's radio? And if it is, what stops drones from homing in on their radios?

It is kind of hard to exactly pinpoint source of radio signal.

1) Transmitting on one channel would be easily visible on spectral analyzer, but if you will transmit on multiple channels (Frequency hopping spread spectrum, like Bluetooth does) on some arbitrary frequencies, there is no chance to see it on spectral analyzer, unless you know where to look.

2) You would need something like a dedicated SIGINT drone which will be capturing and sending this data stream to HQ to process it, which itself would be visible like a flare in the night sky. I am not aware if Russians are using any SIGINT platform and if they do it is not publicly known. Ukrainians are having NATO SIGINT planes flying around Ukraine and will definitely have some ground based SIGINT devices from Western nations. For example we know that Ukrainians are constantly intercepting drones with interceptor drones but it is kept secret how they are actually able to find the drone in the first place.
