Not sure about the second paragraph, but about first one I kind of agree with "someone else paying the hidden cost". I believe Google, Amazon, Roku, etc. basically pay the ODMs to manufacture the TV for them, and market the devices with affordable prices to acquire more users, in order to gain more usage data from consumers.

I wanted to export long chats from Microsoft Teams but turns out Microsoft Graph API or some PowerShell scripts were necessary. API access is not enabled by our IT manager by default so existing solutions dis not help. So I built (vibe-coded) a browser extension for myself, then decided to open source it. There are still some edges to smooth out but it’s going fine.

Turns out it was a common pain point. Now it has around 800 users in Chrome+Firefox. Mostly chrome.

ADHD?

Sometimes it takes great amount of time to understand a specific flow in any given software that's abstract enough. This is a great concept. I'm ready to pay for it.

curating those accurate mental models of the system and its architecture are valuable things, even more so if it can be expressed in a snapshot graph like this tool can render.

Best in class experience for navigating code graphs started in Visual Studio Ultimate circa 2010. The nav experience for dgml was super smooth and I've never experienced another graph tool as powerful as that. Looks like some of that lives on till this day https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/visualstudio/modeling/map-....

Thank you, glad to hear that!

I think some of the Zachtronics games may be helpful to learn about Assembly.

Great job. Buttery smooth even on a low end mobile device.
