I find these experiences really interesting, because in Germany all major ISPs have been doing IPv6 for years and years now.

I dont think any normal person thinks about IPv6 or IPv4 here.

Even in America, ISPs fall roughly in two buckets: no IPv6 support at all, or IPv6 is supported and Just Works, like your case.

The parent poster's case is unusual. Normal people here don't think about v6 either, and the majority of people have a v6 connection.

Ive been using Tubearchivist with the extension for this.

https://github.com/tubearchivist/browser-extension

I really like the WebUI of Tubearchivist itself.

the main feature I want is to just browse youtube like normal in firefox like I always do. And completely forget starchive is running. Then later in the day I'm pleasntly suprised that any video I want to clip is already downloaded and ready. I never know which one I'll want to download and I don't want to have to click any button.

What are you clipping them for?

Usually thoughout the day I'll be watching many different videos and then one will stick with me. Someone will have made a really good point at like time code 3 mins and 17 seconds or something. If I have to right then and there pause the video and start a download it takes me out of the moment. I like it so much better to just at the end of the day go back and find good moments and place them in a their own videos. Examples:

You need one of the following:

Google, Microsoft, Github, Apple or your own OIDC Provider.

They do not have their own account backend.

So you dont technically need a FAANG account if you have a Gitea, Gitlab, Authentik Account or something like that.

You can use it as that.

I use it as my podcast app.

I mostly only have the last 2-5 Episodes on my server for each Podcast. (you can automatically remove episodes if there are more than X)

Though I do keep all Episodes for 3 of my favourite Podcasts.

Quagga got forked though and is actively being developed.

FRRouting is the fork.

Cool to hear that Regolith is working on sway support! Currently, Im using a Gnome extension for similar tiling window support. But its really really buggy.

I loved the idea of Regolith, just not the idea of going back to X11.

Will need to keep an eye on progress.

I doubt there's any kind of intent there.

But, honestly, if that is the end result; Trump supporters buying more electric cars, Id call that a win.

You can install wireguard or tailscale from the addon store.

Dont those already work via Bluetooth?

My Air Monitor Lite at least do.

It is possible to be sued for damages in Germany if you quit and don't come back to work during your notice period.

Its not very likely and hard to prove damages by the employer, but possible.

Nothing really stopping you from simply half-assing your job during your notice period, though.

It is my understanding that you haven’t quit until your notice period is over, you just have given notice. As such it is not surprising to me that you still have to do the job or face some consequences; you signed a contract after all. You would sue your employer too if they fired you and then immediately stopped paying you.

Depends, in Eastern Europe "suing" does not happen often, in fact, it is quite rare, for both employers and employees. I see how people in the US are threatening to sue all the time, but that is not the case around here. It would take too much time and money and usually is not worth it.

I don’t know statistics but here in Germany many people have insurance that pays for attorneys in case of conflicts related to employment and would make use of it.
