I'm planning on giving BlueVine a try: https://www.bluevine.com/checking/

Relay looks interesting too: https://relayfi.com/business-banking

There are thousands of plugins, but they are all platform specific (WP, Joomla...etc). Filament works on any site that accepts JS. It can also be used to connect existing web apps to your site (i.e. MailChimp) without embedding code.

What aspect is not working in FF?

Well done Ryan. I felt like you read by mind. We are in the middle of incorporating many of these points into our design process.

Thanks Chuck! I'm glad it was helpful and it was your tweet that really provided the thesis for the article.

Here's a simple WordPress plugin to install the code: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/hellobar/

You can change the positing setting to cover page content. Here's an example: http://www.arookiemistake.com/

Awesome to hear about the clickthrough rate. I just wrote this post: http://www.dtelepathy.com/blog/telepathy/how-to-help-japan-w...

I am also going to ask some of the speakers at SXSW to share the "helpjapan" invite key at their talks.

I updated the code to a Hello Bar we control in case there are scaling issues:

<script type="text/javascript" src="//www.hellobar.com/hellobar.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> new HelloBar(1,9126); </script> <noscript>Help The Victims of the 8.9 Earthquake in Japan by Spreading Awareness and Aid. Visit http://goo.gl/wjZQz to donate. </noscript>

Thanks Melvin. Great idea.

We've set up the invite code "helpjapan" if you would like to use Hello Bar to encourage aid.

Melvin's working version is a great example to duplicate. Just sign up at http://www.hellobar.com and enter the invite code on the next page.

Pasting Melvin's code is a great alternative as well if you don't want to sign up for an account.

Thanks for your thoughts. The goal of this product is not as a developer tool (yet). We are trying to solve a user engagement issue. Here'a bit more on the thinking behind it.

Website owners typically have one important message or call to action that they would like each visitor to process. Since we don't have consistent design standards, the user has a inconsistent visual experience ingesting web content and messaging.

This happened with digital display ads. Services like The Deck have provided solid improvement with engagement through conformed ads in a single dosage per page.

We want to bring simplicity and consistency to the web experience. We hope that a thoughtful design, one well-crafted sentence and a call to action is what we need to increase engagement on your website.

I agree, however, we'd have to compromise a bit of security allowing people to submit their u/p on an regular http page. Any suggestions on how to avoid this?
