There are a few options on the market depending on where you are. The specific product I have seems to be out of manufacture now but the replacement is the Samotech Hue Switch cover SM200 V2. It fits over the top of your existing light switch and the wireless dimmer attaches magnetically. If you need to turn off the light completely you can pop the cover and access the switch underneath.
It is a little bit bulky due to the nature of it but that's not something that bothers me. If you're particular about your interior design, you may need to look elsewhere: there are also complete light switch replacement products that are thinner and look a bit sleeker, but I haven't felt the need to move to those.
Another thing I like about the Hue system is I had so much difficulty finding reliable combinations of non-smart dimmer switch and LED light. Despite spending a lot of money to get supposedly high quality LED compatible dimmers, one would break every few months and occasionally they seemed to cause my LED lamps to burn out or have other weird issues like not completely turning off. All dimmer switches I tried had a subtle buzzing at certain light levels too.
It's possible there is some combination of lights and dimmers that works great, but since switching to Hue, it's the first time in my life where my lighting system has required zero maintenance in over a year. Other than when a squirrel bit through my garden string lights...
If you’re happy with your smart setup it’s trivial to remove the existing switch, connect the wires directly and put a cover on top, then attach the wireless switch to it using adhesive/Velcro.
I think the point they are making hinges on the fact that the data just has to be _stored_ there. You can do the processing outside of India, so a company can store the encrypted data in India but process the decrypted data elsewhere.
Yeah, Google has done so many things to thwart so many kindS of bad SEO (and sometimes even good SEO) that it's really hard to believe they've just innocently dropped the ball on this one. At a certain point you just have to conclude that they want the search results to look like this. "Oopsie, we just accidentally let one bad actor trample on this valuable 'real estate' for years. Silly us." Yeah right.
I think search at Google isn't getting the best and brightest anymore. It used to be the only product at the company, now it's just the oldest.
I also think there's a disconnect between how new algorithms are evaluated and real world results. Reverse image search is total trash now. Mostly returns annotations "red, dress, girl" instead of the pages where I can find the image.
Unless it's a brand name product, then it's exact matches.
So you're getting less than excellence in engineering, plus influence from shopping and ad dollar focused PMs and not much care is actually given to the search experience.
Oh wow :( I'm a bit scared by this, because of what it means for smaller competitors, who can't afford to pour investor dollars into hiring a whole team of software engineers just focused on SEO driven growth
Tbh I've never optimized for reply rate so this could have been true for me as well. Generally selling dtc. Open rate and sales increased reliably 10-15%. Haven't done any comparable email marketing in two years so things may have changed since then and obviously my anecdata may not be true for you.
Agreed, I used to interactively rebase but have since switched to a four step process. If you have conflicts, you'll deal with them all at once when you merge in `origin/master`.
