I purchased one of the Lumora gas displays and it works well. Simple enough to build yourself (laser cut, 3d print) if you have the gas filled tubes. Fun to have my kids guess what color a gas will glow.

Those looks like LED strips inside of frosted tubes. The connectors on the bottom are similar to 3 prong connectors used in LED strips.

I did a similar pet project about 12 years ago called Graffiti City. It was very simple map that displays pins where reported cases of destruction of property with paint, aka graffiti art, throughout the city of San Francisco. This uses public data available at data.sfgov.org.

In my area it's mostly Home Depot and Lowes parking lots. Time to start shopping online more. I'm looking at options for hiding my LP from AI cameras.

I had seen an ALPR go up at my local Home Depot. I didn’t know what it was until this website where I zoomed on my town. I thought it was a new light or something. Just more anecdotal evidence to back up what you’re saying.
