It also seems like the Google Product Forums are down.

Yup, was confused since it didn't say it was down there, then decided to check HN.

Did you guys considering selling it on other platforms besides eBay? (I don't know of any; I'm asking out of curiosity of whether there's any competitors for hosting an auction like this)

P.S. I looked at your site -- I took 252r this semester and loved it, though the topic was different this year.

We didn't consider anything else really, we just copied what Justin Kan did.

(Also yeah, Greg Morrisett is awesome, I got a lot out of that class as well.)

Maybe https://flippa.com/ is better for this?

There's a bug where if you scroll down in one modal, the scroll will be preserved in the other modals you open.

Since you mention the dots, I wonder if carousels gained traction after smartphones (i.e. the paging dots on the iOS home screen).

I don't think so. Back in 2009 I was responsible for adding another carousel monstrosity to the world and that was just before smartphones exploded. Certainly not what I had in mind.

The screenshots near the top definitely look like part of the web page -- I tried clicking them at first. A border of some sort might help distinguish it (I didn't see the three dots at the bottom at first, and most laptop screens probably won't be able to see it either).

How do the animations work?

You can integrate non-ARC code into an iOS app pretty easily: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8958761/how-to-remove-arc...

Don't you feel that it's -somewhat- misleading to compare blocking ads to illegally downloading ("stealing") content?
