So I built an app using Google's OAuth for logging in and also getting access to Drive/Docs.
What my product does, it fetches the data from the docs/pics from Drive and send it as a blog post during the build time to Vercel.
I built it primarily for myself, so for me it works without issues.
Now that I want to open it to the public, I needed to go through the verification process with Google (so my users don't get warnings during the signup). Reading the guide, I believe I will fall in the Sensitive Scope Verification.
Has anybody gone through this, and what are the realistic chances they don't approve my app?
We've been looking for a good and affordable provider for access code/API keys generation & verification for some plugin we have, however couldn't find any.
For this reason, we decided to build a micro SaaS. We will be sharing our journey in public. Status update:
Website: Launched
Product: We're starting to build MVP, target 01.01. go-live
I've recently had a chat with a friend who launched on AppSumo. Around 50% of the users that launched there never redeemed their code, basically not using the product.
This made me research further, I found 30-40% of codes are not redeemed, on average. The worst part - companies don't always have insight who are these users.
If you're looking to increase the amount of your loyal users and prevent churn, the low-hanging fruit is to start by checking your paying users who are not activated yet.
Unused activation keys can have a significant impact on user engagement and churn:
1) Lower Engagement: When users don't redeem their activation keys, they're not experiencing the full value of the product. This can lead to lower engagement as they may not fully understand or utilize the features available to them.
2) Increased Churn: Users who don't redeem their keys are more likely to abandon the product altogether. Without that initial activation and positive experience, they may not see the value in continuing to use the product, leading to higher churn rates.
3) Missed Opportunities: Each unused key represents a missed opportunity to build a relationship with a potential user. Engaging users early on can lead to higher retention and more positive word-of-mouth referrals.
4) Feedback and Improvement: Users who activate their keys are more likely to provide feedback, which can be invaluable for improving the product. Without this feedback, it's harder to make necessary adjustments and enhancements.
5) Fewer Referrals: When users don’t activate their keys and fully engage with the product, they are less likely to refer it to others. This results in an opportunity cost, as potential new users who could have been attracted through positive referrals are lost. Referrals are a critical channel for growth, and missing out on them can significantly hinder the expansion of the user base.
To help companies make this process simple and maximize the activation rate, we've built https://usekeygen.com/
“Are we even making money on outbound?”
No one ever knew and it was always a never-ending discussion. So I built a super simple Outbound Sales ROI Calculator to show:
- your real ROI
- your break-even ACV
- whether your current setup is profitable or losing money
- how reply rate changes affect everything
No emails, no signup, totally free.
If you try it, let me know if anything feels confusing or if I should add more inputs. Happy to tweak!
