Even if it is, Alex had an awful experience and feels like a victim. If Square can't do anything about the outcome, they can at least offer a better explanation and tips going forward. Communication seemed to be the biggest issue here.
Of course you should fight for your principles, but don't do it in a situation where you're guaranteed to lose. To pick a losing fight when there's no attention, no context, and no message, is not martyrdom. Its just dumb.

"Learn More" pops up a new tab, new subdomain, and a completely inconsistent brand / style. Your logo doesn't even show up on this page. Ditch the outgoing link feel and keep your website consistent.
Also, just as a general user experience thing, not having labels can be detrimental if the field's purpose is forgotten or unknown. Having a placeholder is fine if there is no value in the field, but if I submit a long form after filling it out, only to be shown an error, what if I don't remember what that particular field was for?
Same; I don't associate "stack" with cloud services / SaaS / etc. While I did learn about a few services I didn't know about that seem quite useful, it wasn't what I expected.
