Open to chatting with companies doing machine learning or offering a job that involves some research and experimentation, not pure engineering. Particularly interested in ranking algorithms and building more value-aligned feed/recommendation systems.
As a teenager, I played CTFs and was into reverse engineering (I still am, just doing it less). I've been working with production systems for over half a decade and close to the EVM for the past two and a half years, with a strong interest in machine learning on the side (implementing papers and doing experiments). Currently training my own transformer on multiple GPUs for custom embeddings.
I've written mostly Go over these years, plus Rust for the past year and Python obviously for the ML. Experienced with the production infrastructure you'd expect: Postgres, Redis, Kubernetes, etc.
Been mostly working on indexing/giving semantic understanding to EVM smart contracts for the last two years as my primary job. Been doing machine learning after work for a few years (implementing papers, doing projects). My interests in machine learning are reinforcement learning and world models / embeddings (see https://github.com/2xic/optimization-playground). I also have a security research mindset having played a lot of CTFs over the years.
I'm an Ethereum Protocol Fellow for the next few months and want to keep pushing distributed ledger technologies, but also been wanting to do more work on machine learning full time.
I am self-driven and able to work independently, with a problem-solving mindset.
My Github has various projects, including some with a focus on machine learning (https://github.com/2xic/optimization-playground) and a projected where I implemented various part of the Ethereum execution layer (github.com/2xic/tinyeth).
Have experience with more low level languages like rust and c (++), but I don't code in that daily. Can easily pick it up again if necessary.
Plays with machine learning, and crypto related projects on the weekends.
- https://github.com/2xic/tinyeth a tiny ethereum client. Has many of the core Ethereum protocols features implemented like RLP, EVM, network layer components, +++. I also started on a tiny solidity to evm opcodes compiler for fun.
