Help Us Raise $200k to Free the JavaScript from Oracle (deno.com)

Is there an argument as to why the current situation is bad and maybe is impacting anyone or might?

I don't know anyone who thinks of Oracle owns or is JavaScript, even the non technical folks I work with.

It's about the trademark, and oracle who sues people as part of their core business operations

The old joke -- that seems to be less of a joke than reality -- is that Oracle is a litigation firm suing over trademarks who happens to also sell a little software on the side.

I hear it's one of the stages of accepting death (as a company)

Is this really how Deno wants to make me advocate for Deno instead of Node.js, a legal fight about JavaScript copyright?

It looks like creating a distraction from how business is actually going on.
