Can you explain further? I see on his Wikipedia page:

which seems reasonable to me.

Snyder leans heavily on moralizing and evidence-free psychoanalysis to explain current events.

It's far too much "trust me I'm an established intellectual" and far too little evidence-based reasoning for me. To each their own.
