Just thought I'd share this here, since it seems to have gotten the most interest out of all my projects so far.
Basically, I really liked the idea of Gridfinity, but the fact that most boxes are open-top made me nervous, I prefer lidded portable containers that can be packed away and set up again quickly.
I tried a few different designs, originally I was going to use elastic closures, but I settled on using the springiness of a bit of raw filament as a snap latch.
I ditched the magnet holes, for simplicity and because the whole thing is mostly a portable system, but I have STEP files if you really want them back.
The hinges also use a piece of filament, so it's easy to swap out lids. There are standard utilitarian stackable lids, treasure chest style lids, and decorative stackable lids for 2x2 boxes.
Instead of a lid, you can also stack on a height extender to make an existing box taller, and all the lids are just made by tiling one unit, so you can put a pair of 1x1 lids side by side where you would put a 2x1 lid.
You could also put 2 1x1 boxes together under a single 2x1 lid, but it will open awkwardly unless you glue the boxes(I'm working on a solution for that!)
So far I have lots of sizes of plain box, an AA holder, and an SD card case.
